I’ve always been an avid runner, literally always. I began competitively running around the age of seven and have loved it ever since. Sure, running and I have had our ups and downs but at the end of the day I can’t live without it.  I competed throughout high school in the beautiful state of New Jersey and continued my running at the University of Richmond.  Go Spiders!

I currently live in Virginia and am continuing to train the best I can.  I wanted to blog about my experience because I think training on your own after competitively running in college is a unique and challenging experience.  Running takes a lot of sacrifice and not having a coach on top of the tribulations of everyday life and real world responsibilities makes that sacrifice a really difficult choice to make.

This blog has given me perspective on my own running and there is nothing like social media to hold you accountable to your goals.  It has also been incredibly inspiring to hear from so many friends, family, teammates, peers, and complete strangers share their own personal struggles, successes, and support of my endeavors! So thank you!
